+Senior Manager – Biofuel Business Development

Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Biomass Fuel Business Development who will support and coordinate pellet sales and market development activities across different regions in India. The role will be based at the Mumbai Head Office and will work closely with the company leadership and field sales team to monitor sales activities, identify market opportunities, and support expansion of pellet fuel applications. This position involves a mix of business development, sales coordination, market monitoring, and basic technical understanding of biomass fuels and pellet applications.

Major Responsibilities

    Sales & Business Development Support

    • Assist in developing and expanding markets for biomass pellets in commercial and industrial applications
    • Interact with prospective customers and industry contacts to introduce pellet fuel applications
    • Support field sales team in customer discussions when required.

    Sales Coordination

    • Coordinate with Technical Sales Engineers and field representatives working in different Regions
    • Track sales activities, customer enquiries and follow-ups
    • Support field teams in converting prospects into regular pellet customers

    Market Monitoring

    • Conduct and supervise market surveys to understand pellet demand in different locations
    • Collect information about fuel consumption patterns in target industries
    • Track market developments related to biomass fuel usage and competing fuels

    Customer Interaction

    • Communicate with business owners, plant managers and commercial users interested in biomass fuel
    • Support discussions related to pellet fuel usage and burner applications

    Sales Reporting & Records

    • Maintain records of related to Sales performance, Customer enquiries and conversions & Pellet dispatch and inventory movement
    • Prepare periodic reports for management review

    Operational Understanding

    • Develop working knowledge of Pellet plant operations, Biomass raw materials and supply chains & Pellet burners and biomass cooking systems

Requirements

  • Interest in biomass and renewable energy
  • Experience in Biomass pellets/Biomass burners or stoves/Industrial heating equipment/Bioenergy sector
  • 6-8 years experience in Sales or marketing/Business development/Energy sector Industrial products

Description

We are looking for a young engineer with technical curiosity and strong people skills who wants to work at the intersection of renewable energy, biomass fuels and commercial heating systems. Your job will be to introduce biomass briquette pellet based cooking systems to businesses currently using LPG or alternate fuel and help them switch. This role combines technical understanding + field sales + market creation.

Major Responsibilities

    Create New Pellet Fuel Market

    • Identify businesses using LPG or diesel for cooking/heating
    • Introduce biomass pellet burners and biomass stoves
    • Convince customers to adopt biomass pellet fuel

    Technical Demonstrations

    • Explain pellet burner operation
    • Guide customers on fuel switching
    • Assist during burner installation or trials

Description

We are seeking a Sales Professional with expertise in dealing with Biomass products which includes discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

  • Generate inquiries on the Biomass briquettes and pellets on a daily basis through cold calls, visit to industrial units and establish contacts through industrial exhibitions, websites, net search etc.
  • Manage and track regular procurement updates for power plants
  • Responsible for complete sales cycle from client onboarding to payment collection
  • Customer visits on generated inquiries
  • Maintaining Customer Relationship and follow ups
  • Day-to-Day Reporting to Sales Coordinators
  • Responsible for meeting the plan with respect to sales activities assigned
